Cherokee High School
In their final game of the season the Cherokee Warriors tied the Rome Wolves by a score of 1-1. The goal for the Warriors was scored early in the first half by Isai Gonzalez (Sophomore); his first of the year. The score would remain that way until with 10 minutes left Rome was able to put in a header off of a cross. There would be no overtime or PK’s as the teams would draw 1-1. That though is not the story of the night. The story to tell is that of the 5 seniors who have served and represented the Cherokee Warriors soccer program incredibly well for the past four years. We want to thank Brandon Evans, Dalton Grier, Bryan Lopez, Oscar Sosa and Dakota Stewart for everything they have done for our program. We wish them well next year and hope that they always keep their passion and love for the game of the soccer. Once a Warrior always a Warrior. The program will never be the same because of the impact that all five of these young men have had. Fr om their dedication to showing leadership at conditioning every single day, to the passion they display for soccer, to knowing when the team just needs to be a little light-hearted. Seniors, thank you again. You will be missed, but not forgotten.
