Game Recap

Cherokee defeated Roswell 5-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Emily Conyer induced a fly out from Brooke Henry to finish off the game.
One bright spot for Roswell was a single by Kaelyn Roberts in the second inning.
Alexia Deyton was the winning pitcher for Cherokee. She lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero. Conyer threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Hannah Gore took the loss for Roswell. She went three and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out nine and walking one.
Cherokee Warriors collected seven hits on the day. Parker Modica and Jordyn Stanfill all had multiple hits for Cherokee Warriors. Stanfill and Modica each managed two hits to lead Cherokee. Cherokee didn’t commit a single error in the field. Stanfill had the most chances in the field with five.
Roberts led Roswell with one hit in one at bats.
